Highlights
The EMCOMILL series combines high-performance spindle technology, a flexible tooling system and a spacious work area with wide machine doors for excellent accessibility. The solid fixed table supports workpiece weights up to 2000 kg while advanced Siemens or Heidenhain control systems provide exceptional machining precision and productivity.
High Performance Spindles
Two spindle configurations are available to suit different machining applications. The direct-drive mechanical spindle offers speeds up to 12000 rpm, while the motor spindle delivers speeds up to 15000 rpm for high-speed machining operations.
Tool Magazine
The tool magazine system is available with 30, 40 or 60 tool positions and features a rapid double-gripper system with random tool selection. The system supports pre-searching of tools during machining cycles to minimise non-productive time.
Ball Screws & Linear Guides
Grease-lubricated central ball screws and precision linear roller guides provide high resistance to mechanical loads and vibration-free high-speed axis movement for exceptional machining accuracy and reliability.
Machine Design
The EMCOMILL series is designed as a moving-column milling machine with a welded steel machine bed optimised using FEM analysis. The X, Y and Z slides are manufactured from cast iron for maximum rigidity and stability.
Overall Dimensions & Work Space
The spacious work area and large machine doors provide excellent accessibility for loading, setup and machining of large components and production fixtures.
Options & Accessories
Rotary Table
An optional CNC-controlled rotary table with 200 mm diameter can be integrated as a 4th axis. The table can interpolate with the X, Y and Z axes for highly precise multi-sided machining applications.
Side Tool Magazine Door
The side tool magazine access door allows fast loading, unloading, inspection and cleaning of tooling systems.
Measuring Systems
Optional radio probe and laser measuring systems enable in-machine tool measurement and workpiece inspection for faster setup times and improved machining accuracy.
Glass Scales in X, Y & Z Axes
Optional glass scales provide highly accurate linear position measurement while compensating for thermal deviations. Pressurised protection prevents contamination and improves long-term measurement reliability.
