Machine Description

The WABECO D4000 H20 is built around a robust diagonally ribbed grey cast iron bed with inductively hardened and ground guideways. This rigid construction provides outstanding vibration damping, stability and long-term machining accuracy. Designed for precision turning applications, the machine combines compact dimensions with professional-grade performance, making it ideal for workshops, training facilities and prototype manufacturing.

Prismatic Cast Iron Bed

The D4000 H20 features a precision-engineered prismatic bed manufactured from diagonally ribbed grey cast iron. The guideways are inductively hardened and precision ground to ensure long-lasting accuracy and smooth carriage movement.

Lead Screw & Feed System

The machine is equipped with trapezoidal thread spindles and a precision lead screw drive system for accurate feed control and thread cutting operations.

The headstock housing is manufactured from grey cast iron and incorporates a hand-scraped V-guide system for maximum precision. The spindle runs in two adjustable precision DIN tapered roller bearings, ensuring excellent concentricity and machining accuracy. A quiet belt drive system provides smooth power transmission and exceptionally low operating noise.

Tool Slide Assembly

The precision tool slide system features adjustable dovetail guideways with backlash-free adjustment and finely graduated handwheels for accurate machining control.
