Highlights
The Maxxturn 65 G2 delivers exceptional machining precision, powerful milling performance and complete machining capability within a compact machine footprint. Features include a stable Y-axis for complex milling operations, counter spindle technology for complete machining, flexible automatic tailstock systems and advanced Siemens Sinumerik ONE control technology.
BMT Turret with Direct Drive
Optional 12 or 16-position BMT turrets with direct drive provide exceptional milling capability with spindle speeds up to 12000 rpm. The stable BMT interface supports coolant pressures up to 50 bar as standard and up to 150 bar optionally, ensuring high precision and stability during demanding machining operations.
Steady Rest
The hydraulically operated steady rest supports shafts with diameters from Ø8 to 101 mm. Mounted on a sliding carriage and integrated with chip protection and central lubrication systems, it ensures stable machining of long and slender components.
Tailstock
The fully automatic hydraulic tailstock travels over a length of 500 mm and includes a directly integrated MT4 centre for maximum rigidity and compact construction.
Tool Turret with VDI Quick-Change System
The fast servo-controlled 12-position turret supports VDI 30 and VDI 40 tooling with extremely short indexing times. Ground alignment plates eliminate time-consuming holder adjustments, while all stations are driven and feature adjustable swivel speeds.
Y-Axis Carriage
The machine base design with broad-based prestressed guide rails ensures maximum stability, reduced overhangs and highly accurate complete machining performance.
Overall Dimensions & Work Space
The Maxxturn 65 G2 combines a compact machine layout with a spacious work area, supporting a variety of turret and tooling configurations for flexible production requirements.
Workpieces
The Maxxturn 65 G2 is ideal for manufacturing precision components across industries including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors and vehicle parts, medical engineering, bearings, material handling technology and fixing systems.
Typical workpieces include distributor bodies manufactured from stainless steel, beams produced from steel 42 Cr Mo 4 and shafts machined from steel Ck45.
